The crew were friendly and informative, and did their best to make sure we saw some whales and didn't get seasick.

I am a Berkeley resident who has taken a variety of whale watching trips in the Bay and elsewhere. My family was visiting from the Midwest, and while the main concern was seeing the Giants play, I urged them to consider a whale watching trip. I chose your group this time, and I can't say enough good things about our trip. In fact, my uncle, a self-proclaimed baseball fanatic who blogs about his home team, said that whale watching with you guys was MORE FUN THAN SEEING THE GIANTS BEAT THE DODGERS. Apologies for capitalizing all of that, but this is about the best compliment the man knows how to make. Being a Midwestern farm boy, he'd never even flown. The only way we could get him out here was to promise tickets to the Giants vs. Dodgers. After whale watching, seeing about 10 humpbacks, a sea lion attacking a salmon, traveling under the Golden Gate Bridge, and wrapping up the trip with a blue whale sighting, he is forever changed, and possibly now a whale fanatic as well as a baseball fanatic. That's saying something for a land-locked Midwesterner. This is important, too, because it's easy for those of us who live by the beauty and tranquility of the ocean to assume that everyone understands it and cares about it as we do. But those who are not exposed may not understand the environmental urgency. Your trip, your incredibly warm and intelligent naturalist (Hailey), and your fun and engaging crew made the trip such a delight. For me, seeing the Farallones and all of the beauty around me made me proud of my home, and very proud of the concern and compassion your crew shows for the animals and the sea. Thank you. We will make a point of bringing all of our visitors, and we will be back ourselves, too. Lauren Gonzalez

My family was visiting from oversea and we wanted to spend the day together doing something different! We all had a very good time. We were lucky to see beautiful and diverse wildlife and this is really unique. Cruising on the bay and at sea was also very enjoyable! The captain and the biologists on board were really friendly and knowledgeable. I would recommend taking sea sickness motion pills, suncream and warm clothes. It was all in all a very pleasant day! I highly recommend this activity!

This tour is one that everybody should enjoy at least once. I was skeptical about how exciting the trip would be, but once we had our first sighting of two blue whales, i understood what everybody else was raving about. We had a great time watching the whales and the naturalist did a great job of explaining what we were seeing. Very informative and exciting! A few words of advice - Take something for sea sickness even if you think you will be ok. And wear waterproff clothes if possible. The boat gets wet, and it gets cold. Either way, it is well worth it!

This is a must do for tourists and locals alike. Whales r big, understatement! It was an hour or so ride to the island then within minutes capt Tom had us on top of a blu whale. We saw 3 dif types of whales and numerous other wildlife. The crew was extremely knowledgeable and friendly. I am doing this again. Worth every penny. Bring something for motion sicknes food water and sunblock even if it looks foggy. MUST DO!!!

The time on board was pretty good, despite the weather. But we saw Blue- and Greywales and also Humpbacks, so it was worth it.

Very well organized trip, the crew were fantastic and the whole trip awesome. We saw 3 types of whalts, Humpback, Gray and Blue, Risso Dolfins and Sea Lions. The trip out to the Farallon Islands was great going out of San Francisco under the Golden Gate Bridge and I recommend it to anyone. Thanks to the crew of san francisco whale tour for a most wonderful day.
