The Blue Whales Have Arrived!

For the first time this year, Blue whales have been sighted in the Gulf of the Farallones National Marine Sanctuary!  Also sighted so far this week are Humpbacks, Tufted puffins, and even a shark jumping out of the water!  Lots of sea birds have been seen as well as pinnipeds (seals and sea lions)!  The water has been smooth and guests have been super excited (as are the naturalists and the rest of our crew!)

See you on the boat!

Fifteen Humpbacks Sighted at the Farallones!

Guest and crew were so excited yesterday to see not one.... but fifteen Humpback whales around the Farallon Islands!  Not only that, but 11 Tufted puffins were sighted, one of which was in full bloom!  What an incredible week it has been for whale watching!

See you on the boat!
